The DSP Control of Electrical Drives Laboratory (DSP_CED Lab),
coordinated until 2022 by
Dr. Dragos Ovidiu Kisck, the current director being Dr. Dragos Anghel,
is located in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
Department of Machines, Materials and Electrical Drives (DMMED)
at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB).
The DSP_CED Lab is equipped for investigating, developing,
prototyping and implementing electrical drives, automation
and control methodologies and technologies, ranging from computational
intelligent to conventional model-based techniques. The multipurpose
drive systems, such as PWM inverters and so on, are controlled by
Fixed Point or Floating Point Digital Signal Processors from
Texas Instruments family. The research domain includes also
Traction Applications and Power Quality Conditioning applications.
